Peter University Begins Certificate Study in Social Work

Peter University Achina/Onneh’s Center for Social Work has established a programme that awards Professional Certificate in Social Work (PCSW).

The programme is designed for people who desire to improve their ability to serve clients; advance in their helping skills as gain professional skills that will help them work in hospitals or welfare and children affairs centers. It is also for those who work in youth centres, mental health institutions, church counseling centers, correction facilities as well as the Police and law enforcement departments, among others.

Those who qualify to apply are persons with any of these qualifications: secondary school leaving certificates, O’Level or degree in any of the disciplines in management studies, social or health sciences, or in the arts.

Classes are on full time and part time bases.

Tuition fee for the entire programme is ₦200,000. Classes will begin 6th September, 2024.

The programme is structured in a way that suits the convince of working persons. Students would only need to attend face-to-face classes, once in a month. The rest of the time they can learn from the comfort of their space. There are Peter University study locations in Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi in Anambra State and Enugu.
