Philanthropist Ntagbu Becomes Ozuoomee of Emekuku Kingdom

A major event of the last Yuletide in the serene urban town of Emekuku in the capital city of Imo State, Owerri was the homecoming of sons and daughters of the land. The celebration which set the community agog featured the king of the land, His Royal Majesty Eze Ejeshi Obi, Ezeukwu IV of Emekuku conferring traditional titles to prominent people of the ancient kingdom.

Among recipients of the honour was a respected United States of America (USA) based philanthropist and businessman, Philip Anyachokeya Ntagbu.

Conferred with the chieftaincy title of Ozuoomee 1 of Emekuku Kingdom Chief Ntagbu was honoured along with his wife.

HRM Eze Ejeshi Obi, feted Ntagbu for his notable works in Emekuku and environ, especially for his contributions in youth empowerment and community development.

The kingdom endorsed Ntagbu’s new title, Ozuoomee (the one who responds to the people’s need at ripe time) in recognition of his pedigree and his benefactors’ testimonies.

Commenting on the honour the 55-year-old chief simply enthused: “All glory and thanks belong to our God Almighty.”
