Encomium for Soludo as SYSPG Berths in Onitsha South

ANAMBRA State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his passion for youths were the main causes of celebration recently at The Council Hall of Onitsha South local government area (LGA).

The hall located within the Council’s Secretariat was filled with youths of the LGA penultimate Monday, June 3, as they rallied for the inauguration of the Onitsha South arm of the body Solution YouthPreneurs Support Group (SYPSG). Encomium and heartwarming narratives of the feats Soludo’s government in youth empowerment and skills development were rife during the events marking the endowment of the LGA and ward level executive members of SYPSG in the local councils.

The body made up of beneficiaries of ‘1 Youth 2 Skills Program’ is boldly committed to ensuring the re-election of Gov. Soludo for a second tenure.
Constituted of the 5000 youths of Anambra who learnt new skills and got empowered in the first phase of ‘1 Youth 2 Skills Solution’ the former trainees of the novel program initiated and organised by Anambra State’s Ministry of Youth Development praised the governor for his pro-youth policies and innovative governance.

Anambra State Coordinator SPYSG, Prince Chinedu Ofojebe  described Soludo as the most youth-friendly Governor, emphasising that his group is happy that he is implementing the agenda in his pre-election manifesto and making Anambra youths self reliant.

He equally appreciated Anambra State Commissioner for Youths Development, Patrick Agha Mba for his commitment and dedication to the governor’s mission for the youths.

Also featured in the event was the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Gov Soludo on Youth Development, Emeka Tony Omata who spoke on ‘Harnessing Opportunities for Business Growth and Sustainability.’

Omata explained funding opportunities the government has provided for small and medium scale businesses especially through such schemes as the ASBA loan and other funds from the state’s Ministry of Industry. According to him the provisions are deliberately intended to favour the youths. He therefore urged Ndị Anambra, especially youths, to key in.

He also disclosed that the next training phase of the ‘1 Youth 2 Skills Solution’ will feature 10,000 Anambra Youths. They will be trained in various skills and empowerment with certification in the areas.

Special Assistant (SA) Special Duties to Gov Soludo, Onyebuchi Obi who also spoke at the occasion, urged the youths to be part of the Solution Government by ensuring that the Clean, Green and Healthy agenda of the governor is achieved, and also enlightening people on the damages of pouring refuse into drainages while it rains, saying that through reminding people on the dangers of such environmental hazards, a good attitude change will ensue in the society.

He pointed out that with the number of Roads done by Gov Charles Chukwuma Soludo in such areas in Onitsha as Haruna Street, Moore Street and parts of Iweka Road in Odoakpu including Niger Street and Port Harcourt Road in Fegge Onitsha South LGA, the youths of the area have concrete reasons to solidly join the campaign for the reelection of Prof.
Soludo.

He noted that Mr Governor’s plan, is seeing that Anambra youths are able to compete anywhere around the world with different skills, opportunity of learning through SDI.

Other speakers in the event comprised, Miracle Izuegbu who represented former member representing Onitsha South 1 in Anambra State House of Assembly, Uzoma Eli. He noted Gov. Soludo’s feat in the construction of General Hospital, Fegge in Onitsha South LGA and his unprecedented spate in training of Anambra youths.

While inaugurating Onitsha South LGA SPYSG Ward leaders,  Ofojebe tasked them to take the message and  mission of ‘1 Youth 2 Skills Solution’ to the grassroots and ensure the returning Gov Soludo for second tenure in office.

Coordinator SPYSG Onitsha South, Comrade Kenneth Dubem Okonkwo noted that youths of the area are desirous of returning Gov. Soludo as he had invested heavily on them as well as in road infrastructure in the LGA.

Coordinator of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Onitsha South, Comrade Frank Onyeke, expressed confidence in the leadership of the governor, and praised  the ‘1 Youth 2 Skills Solution’ Program as an innovation done for all without segregation.
