Amid Fanfare, SYPSG Inaugurates Onitsha North Ward Leaders

Young entrepreneurs who graduated from the 1 Youth 2 Skills Solution program of Anambra State Ministry of Youth Development gathered in Onitsha on Monday, May 20, 2024 to express their support for Gov. Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State and emphasised their mission to ensure that he gets a second tenure as governor of the state.

At the occasion held at the Onitsha North Local Government Secretariat Hall, G.R.A., ward executive members of the Solution YouthPreneurs Support Group (SYPSG) in Onitsha were inaugurated.

Rallied under the umbrella of the body SYPSG, the young proprietors of businesses used the event to push ahead in their quest for actualisation of Prof. Soludo’s reelection.

The event also marked the official kickoff of SYPSG’s inauguration of Ward leaders in all the 21 local government areas (LGA) of Anambra State, following the successful inauguration of the executive members of all the 21 LGAs in Awka on May 3, 2024.

The wards’ leadership inauguration in Onitsha offerred the organisers an opportunity to highlight the success of SYPSG and project into the future on where the body is heading.

Explaining SYPSG to ward executive members, Anambra State Coordinator of the body, Chinedu Ofojebe, expressed gratitude to Gov. Soludo and the Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, for their enthusiasm and commitment to youth development. He revealed that the Governor has approved the training of an additional 10,000 youths in the Batch 2 of ‘1 Youth 2 Skills Solution’ program.

In his remarks, Onitsha North Coordinator of SYPSG, Patrick Egwuatu, beamed more light on body’s mandate, citing SYPSG as a testament of the success of the ‘1 Youth 2 Skills Solution’ initiative of Soludo’s government.

The event also had a rich intellectual content with a workshop which featured lectures on such topics as ‘Harnessing Opportunities for Business Growth and Sustainability,’ by the special assistant to the governor on youth development, Emeka Tony Omatah; ‘Need for Entrepreneurs to get Seriously Involved in Politics’ by former state legislator, Ejiofor Egwuatu among other speakers.

Legal practitioner, A.B.K. Offiah presided over the swearing-in of the new ward officers.

The event was marked by pomp and celebration.
